Since its founding in 1984, SEMIX Incorporated has steadily developed its role as a leading supplier of the finest wafer fabrication equipment. Over the years we have earned a leadership position in the global SOD equipment market.
Initially SEMIX supplied Spin-on Glass (SOG) coaters, Plasma systems, Mask Cleaning systems and Wet Station robotics to the semiconductor industry. After two successful years, the SOG coater systems became the leader of Semix' ventures. In 1986 Semix introduced its first 6" SOG coater. Over 450 of these SOG systems are currently in operation worldwide, making them the most widely used and preferred system available for SOG/SOD processing today.
Over the years, by focusing our efforts on innovation and efficiency, Semix expanded its ability to supply semiconductor equipment, launching worldwide. In 1991, Semix was selling and servicing internationally to European and Asian markets, achieving a leading position in the SOG/SOD market.
Our continued growth and expansion is a direct result of our understanding of the specific challenges our customers face in achieving marketplace success.
Today, we are addressing the requirements of low κ ILD applications by providing Spin-on Dielectric (SOD) coaters that are equal to the challenges of low κ deposition. SEMIX also offers high throughput Copper Electroplating (CEP) systems and high performance Epi reactors for meeting the latest in conductive requirements.
With the recent development of our “Spin-on Solutions” program with major SOD material providers, SEMIX has truly become a system solutionist for the semiconductor industry. By establishing "seamless" solutions for low κ ILD integration, based on mutually cooperative crosstraining and technical support with SOD material providers, SEMIX’ Spin-on Solutions program is already making a major difference in the development of simpler, easier low κ dielectric results for our customers.
